I have been the target of personals attacks from a very influent Argentinian blogger. The way to atack me has been to get two free software packages developed by me -the shorter of them has more of 15000 lines of code-; he looked for any line that looked strange or had to be explained, and show them out of context on his influencial blog as a example of my bad programming and my mistakes.
This is a new way to atack free software developers; and It have forced me to change my strategy on releasing free software. My personal brand is very important for my job, and I can't compete with a guy with so much influence on blogosfere. I have develop several free software packages, but I have not enought spare time to keep too much open fronts. So, against my wish, I had to stop the distribution of any free software developed by me that it is not by now strategical.
It has been a very hard decision to me, due to my personal conminment with free software. But I have really sort time, and I can not take the risk of a full campain against me.
As far as there are downloaded copies of these packages, and that those software can be used against me, you that have used those packages know what you need to do.
The retired packages are:
- My version of OpenMosix kernel patch
- dform
- simetrias
- pvmd for Kylix
